Time to upgrade ?
Now that I have had some experience with a Chromebook I wanted to upgrade to something a bit different in resolution, speed, larger storage and how it’s built.
This one was very different than my previous Asus c300 which I loved a lot. I donated that one to a family member and ordered the Acer Chromebook 14, Gold.
The angles on this laptop is much better, it’s made out of aluminum and you have two choice of either silver or gold. It’s a bit heavier but not by much, I carry it wherever I go and use my Orben backpack for this. See my review about this amazing backpack
The only downside or so I thought was not having a built in SD card slot, but after not having one I really don’t miss it much and use a USB stick just fine.
Some pros include:
- Affordable at around $289.00
- Battery is about 8-10 hours
- 14″ Full HD 1920×1080 display
- Storage is 32Gb SSD
- 1.6Gz Quad-Core Processor
The only Con is the SD card slot, if this is important to to you an adapter may be purchased to resolve the issue.
I personally recommend this laptop as well, it’s been very reliable and will keep this one for a long while. It’s not the newer touchscreen, but haven’t needed such feature yet. Perhaps if I get into using Android apps that may require touchscreen I might upgrade then.
